With a vibrant stage presence and a gleaming soprano, German singer Lisa Katharina Gaiselmann is emerging as an exciting voice in the operatic and concert worlds.
Born in Rottweil in 1992, Lisa began her artistic journey with classical ballet and early vocal training under Birgit Wagner-Ruh. She made her stage debut singing the First Lady and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), and soon after, the title role of Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) with Talentwerkstatt 43 e.V.
Lisa earned her Master of Music degree under Professor Turid Karlsen at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, graduating with distinction. She deepened her development through masterclasses with leading artists such as Klesie Kelly, Margreet Honig, KS Sylvia Geszty, and Inge Borkh, and was awarded a long-term scholarship by the Yehudi Menuhin “Live Music Now” Foundation.
On stage, Lisa has distinguished herself in roles including Frasquita (Carmen), Tenerina and Tamiri (Il cacciatore deluso), and Sandman/Dew Fairy (Hänsel und Gretel). She has worked with companies such as Junge Oper Weikersheim, Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen, and performed under the baton of conductors like Elias Grandy, and Hannes Reich.
Her studied repertoire further highlights her versatility, encompassing roles such as the Queen of the Night and Blonde (Die Zauberflöte, Entführung aus dem Serail), Olympia (Hoffmann’s Tales), Adele (Die Fledermaus), and Nannetta (Falstaff).
Equally at home on the concert stage, Lisa has appeared as soprano soloist in Schubert’s Mass in C Major and Handel’s Messiah, and in projects with Stuttgart’s New Music Ensemble.
Lisa’s rising profile includes appearances at the Kirsten Flagstad Festival (livestream), a scholarship from SWR’s “Klangspektrum Baden-Württemberg” series, and recognition such as the Special Prize at the Lions Club Competition Stuttgart and “Voice of the Month” by the Opera Academy Baden-Baden.
In addition to her freelance work, Lisa was a member of the Stuttgart State Opera Chorus during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons. Recent highlights include becoming a finalist at the Stignani Competition in Imola (2024), semifinalist at the Premiere Opera Foundation New York Competition (2024), and participant in the prestigious Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition (2025) in Dublin.
A singer of agility, dramatic flair, and growing international presence, Lisa Gaiselmann continues to captivate audiences across Germany and beyond.
