An opportunity to hear Opera Australia, principal heroic baritone, Warwick Fyfe (soon to sing Alberich in the Neil Armfield production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle for Opera Australia) in concert with rising Australian soprano, Katrina Sheppeard (who recently jumped on to sing Norma with the English National Opera), singing the great dramatic repertoire by Strauss and Wagner. Accompanied by acknowledged Wagnerian expert, Kelvin Lim in the magnificent surroundings of Australia House, London.

Kelvin Lim
Kelvin trained at the Royal College of Music and has worked for ENO, ROH2, Glyndebourne, Opera Holland Park, ETO, Longborough, Nevill Holt, Mid-Wales Opera, Northern Ireland Opera, Aldeburgh and Winslow Hall Opera. Kelvin is Co-Director of Postgraduate Opera at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. He is a coach for the Jette Parker Young Artists at ROH, Chorus Master- Opera Holland Park 2012, Assistant Chorus Master for Dorset Opera 2013-2014. Kelvin is the musical director of Opera Forge -performing semi-staged scenes from the Ring at RFH for Wagner 200 and at St Johns Smith Sq. He also worked on the Longborough Ring Cycle in 2013 and conducted La Boheme for Head First Productions.
Credits as conductor/pianist include: I Pagliacci, Hansel & Gretel, La Voix Humaine, Cosi fan Tutte, Macbeth, Carmen, Madam Butterfly, L’Infedelta Delusa. Kelvin is a CREAR Scholar, Bayreuth Bursary Prize winner, and official accompanist for the Wagner Society. He has accompanied coachings with Sir John Tomlinson, Dame Anne Evans, Mary Plazas, Graham Clark, and accompanied masterclasses with Antonio Pappano, Sir John Tomlinson, Susan Bullock. He has regularly broadcast on Radio 3, and accompanied Sir John Tomlinson both on In Tune, and in recital. He gave a lieder recital in the Royal Opera House Crush Bar lunchtime recital series.
